2026 Tax Deadlines

 

January 15, 2026

  • 4th Quarter 2024 Estimated Tax Payment Due
    If you are self-employed or have other fourth-quarter income that requires you to pay quarterly estimated taxes, get them postmarked by January 15, 2026 tax deadline.

March 16, 2026

  • Form 1120-S and Form 1065 Due
  • Form 1120-S and Form 1065 Extensions Due

April 15, 2026

  • Individual Tax Returns Due
    The due date for filing tax returns and making tax payments is April 15. If you haven't applied for an extension, e-file or postmark your individual tax returns by midnight.
  • Individual Tax Return Extension Form Due 
  • Form 1120 Due
  • Form 1120 Extension Due
  • 1st Quarter Estimated Tax Payment Due
    If you are self-employed or have other first-quarter income that requires you to pay quarterly estimated taxes, get your Form 1040-ES postmarked by this date. 
  • Last Day to make a IRA Contribution for the prior tax year
    If you haven't already funded your retirement account for the prior year, do so by April 15, 2026. That's the deadline for a contribution to a traditional IRA, deductible or not, and a Roth IRA. However, if you have a Keogh or SEP and you get a filing extension to October 15, 2026, you can wait until then to put prior year money into those accounts.

June 15, 2026

  • 2nd Quarter Estimated Tax Payment Due
    If you are self-employed or have other second-quarter income that requires you to pay quarterly estimated taxes, make sure your payment is postmarked by this date.

September 15,  2026

  • 3rd Quarter Estimated Tax Payment Due
    If you are self-employed or have other third-quarter income that requires you to pay quarterly estimated taxes, make sure your third quarter payment is postmarked by Sept. 15, 2026 tax deadline.
  • All Business Returns Due

October 15, 2026

  • Extended Individual Tax Returns Due. If you had a filing extension on your tax return, you need to have it completed and  postmarked by October 15, 2026. 

January 15, 2027

  • 4th Quarter Estimated Tax Payment Due
    If you are self-employed or have other fourth-quarter income that requires you to pay quarterly estimated taxes, have them postmarked by January 15, 2027 tax deadline.
